Mobile Pediatric Cabinet “Revive Moldova” sets off for the villages of the country: the children will benefit from free medical consultations!
13 April 2016
The Edelweiss Foundation launches a new national campaign to protect children’s health. Starting with April 20, during the next eight months, a team of pediatricians will go daily in the villages of the Republic of Moldova to provide free consultations to children.
The Mobile Pediatric Cabinet “Revive Moldova” is provided with modern equipment, including an ultrasound machine which is useful for diagnosing some diseases of internal organs. Doctors and medical assistants who form the team are ready to provide complete general consultations and prescribe the required treatments in each case. All procedures are authorized, since the campaign is organized by the Edelweiss Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Health from the Republic of Moldova.
“We try to help both children and their parents. We know that the child’s health is the most important thing for a parent, maybe more important than even his own health. The Mobile Pediatric Cabinet is provided with necessary equipment. We will try to help to treat some diseases, and providing free consultations – to prevent health problems”, declared the Edelweiss Foundation representatives.
Localities where the Mobile Pediatric Cabinet “Revive Moldova” will stop are selected together with the Ministry of Health with a priority for localities where currently there are no physicians or the medical centers are far away. According to the schedule just in the first month of the campaign the Mobile Pediatric Cabinet will visit 18 localities. Initially, the team of doctors “Revive Moldova” will reach the Ialoveni district (April 20 – Cigirleni village, April 28 – Carbuna village, April 29 – Gangura village) and Cimislia district (April 21 – Porumbrei village, April 22 – Sagaidac village, April 26 – Codreni village, April 27 – Zloti village). The complete schedule of the Mobile Pediatric Cabinet will be constantly updated and will be available on the Edelweiss Foundation’s website – www.edelweiss.md.
All the consultations are free, the costs being entirely covered by the Edelweiss Foundation. The parents or grandparents who accompany the little ones just have to present the child’s medical record.
“The Mobile Pediatric Cabinet “Revive Moldova” sets off for the villages where there is a need in a qualified assistance in treating children. The launch of this campaign happens exactly two years after the Edelweiss Foundation initiated in 2014 the fundraising campaign for necessary repairs at the Maternity Department of the Institute for Mother and Child from Chisinau. As we promised two years ago, we continue to protect the health of children”, added the representatives of the charitable foundation created by Vlad Plahotniuc.
